THE WAX
As a bespoke leather worker I needed a leather wax that was natural, eco-friendly, and worthy of my craftsmanship. That’s why I made my very own, right here in Denmark. It was important for me to use all organic and nourishing ingredients to make the best possible product to use on all of my leather work.
This natural wax softens, protects, and enhances the natural beauty of leather. Shielding it from the elements while bringing out its rich character. It’s everything I wanted for my own work and now, it’s yours to enjoy. Perfect for anyone who values hand-made quality, sustainability, and the timeless appeal of well-cared-for leather.

natural beeswax"

How I Use the Wax
I gently apply the wax using a soft, lint-free cloth. Often, I’ll test it on a small, hidden area first. It’s important to apply the wax to clean, dry leather.
Once applied, I let it sit until the surface feels dry. I prefer to give the leather plenty of time to absorb the nourishing wax—on some of my handbags and briefcases, I even leave the wax on overnight before buffing it out.
To finish, I use a soft cloth or a natural brush to buff the leather. Buffing several times brings out a beautiful satin finish.

Natural Ingredients
It is important that all the ingredients I use are natural and non toxic. Many other products these days are made with chemicals which will not only harm the leather but also the environment.
Handmade

Everything is handmade in my workshop in Denmark. It’s something I truly enjoy—not only because it makes the whole space smell wonderful, but also because I’m still amazed at how the oils gently blend together to become this fantastic wax.

Beeswax
Beeswax is an amazing natural product. It not only nourishes leather with its rich, beneficial properties, but also leaves a light, natural coating that helps protect against the elements.
I source my wax from Danish and other European beekeepers, and I support their efforts to protect and highlight the importance of our bee populations.

Carnauba
Carnauba flakes are quite hard and therefore form a natural protective layer for the leather. I also use it because it creates a beautiful shine to the leather when polished.
Coconut
I love coconut—not only for its softening and nurturing effect on leather, but also for its wonderful scent. It’s a rich, fatty oil, but when used in just the right balance with the other ingredients, it becomes a beautiful and important part of the wax.

Essential Oils

I use only pure, high-quality essential oils to add fragrance to the wax—something I really enjoy. Artificial aromas are an option, but they’re made from synthetic chemicals, and that’s not something I want to use.
The scent is subtle, not overpowering, but it adds something special to the wax. It smells especially nice when applying it to the leather.

PRODUCTS
I make my wax using 100% of the best nutritional and organic ingredients I can find. It’s crafted with natural European beeswax, organic coconut oil, Danish rapeseed oil, organic carnauba wax, and a blend of pure essential oils.
The wax softens, nourishes, and protects the leather from the elements, helping to prevent it from drying out. It enhances the leather’s natural beauty—for a lifetime of use and enjoyment.

My grandfather was a shoemaker in Holland, which is why I’ve always loved this image. His name was Gerrit De Haan—De Haan means "rooster" in English. That’s why I chose a rooster as my logo.

I’m currently working on a really good—and gentle—saddle soap. As the name suggests, saddle soap is used to clean leather. It’s a great way to remove dirt, mud, and other grime from your leather goods.
I’ve been experimenting with different formulas and ingredients to make sure I achieve exactly what I’m after: one of the gentlest and most effective saddle soaps you can find.
