The Big Blue is one of my favorites, simply because I love the color blue. As with most of my lamps, I experimented with different colors for the shades. But when I decided to use the same fabric for both the shade and the base, the whole piece came together. Sometimes the best solution is right in front of you, and in this case it definitely was. As with all of my designs, I focus on how a piece makes me feel. The Big Blue has a calm confidence that I find special, and it remains one of my personal favorites.
